As part of the University’s commitment to widening participation, our Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) programmes offer an alternative route for applicants who have not quite achieved the requirements for direct entry onto their chosen degree programme.
Applicants successfully admitted onto a University of Lincoln Cert HE programme will follow an identical curriculum to students enrolled at Level 1 on the undergraduate degree equivalent and will have access to study skills support and a personal tutor.
The Cert HE can be a stand-alone award, although the majority of students who successfully pass the programme usually progress onto Level 2 of the full degree programme, subject to satisfactory attendance and successful performance.
Students who have already applied for University accommodation and student finance will not have to change those applications. The transfer to the Cert HE programme at Lincoln is quick and easy and we have specialist advisors available to talk students through the process.
With exception to the CertHE Ambulance Clinical Technician Practice, students do not apply directly to our CertHE programmes. These programmes may be offered directly to eligible students who do not meet the standard requirements of our undergraduate programmes once they have applied for the full degree in the first instance. Students should apply for the full degree programmes as normal through UCAS.
The University of Lincoln will be admitting applicants onto the following Cert HE programmes for academic year 2021/22:
At the University of Lincoln, UK student tuition fees for 2021/22 undergraduate entry are £9,250 per year full-time or £77 per credit point for part-time study.* Most students cover the cost of full-time fees by applying for a Tuition Fee Loan. If you apply and meet the eligibility requirements, the Student Loans Company pay this loan directly to the University to cover your tuition fees.
Please visit the individual course pages of each CertHE's full degree programme for full details of the fees and additional costs associated with that course.
