Introduction

This is a multi-disciplinary programme, integrating theoretical and practical knowledge of physical education and sport. The programme is based upon the level 1 structure of the BSc (Hons) Physical Education and Sport programme where students study several specialist subjects. Modules are designed to provide students with a foundation and underpinning knowledge in teaching and pedagogy, school and youth sport development, social science, sport science, and research. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to develop key transferable skills.

Modules

All Level 1 modules of the BSc (Hons) Physical Education and Sport must be successfully completed for the award of the Certificate of Higher Education. The programme has been designed to enable students, upon successful completion, to progress directly into Level 2 of the full degree programme.
