As an EU or international student, you may find that the teaching, learning and assessment style in the UK is very different to that of your own country. Services provided by the English Language Centre can help you understand the UK academic culture, help you succeed on your course and provide opportunities to meet and socialise with students from around the world.
Applicants who are interested in studying at the University of Lincoln should read the 'English Language Requirements' section before making an application. Applicants who need to improve their English or evidence their English language proficiency should also read the 'Pre-sessional English Courses' and 'Password Skills English Language Test' sections.
For students already enrolled at the University, the In-sessional support includes courses and a one-to-one drop-in service. Information about how to register for these services is available in the In-sessional Support section.
It may be possible for students wishing to attend the University of Lincoln to undertake the Password Skills English Language Test, on campus or overseas, which could be used as evidence of English Language ability.
You should only consider this test if you are interested in studying at the University of Lincoln; the test results are not transferable to another institution.
Please note, the Password Skills English Language Test is not a substitute for the university’s Pre-sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) courses which may be more suitable for a prospective student.
If you are interested in taking the Password Skills English Language Test on campus, please contact the University of Lincoln’s English Language Centre: firstname.lastname@example.org or +44 (0)1522 886102.
