The Lincoln Live Lounge is a regular series of livestreamed, interactive talks featuring a variety of special guests alongside University of Lincoln staff, students and alumni. Conversations cover a diverse range of topics relevant to anyone considering higher education, whether that’s exploring graduate careers in particular industries or tips on the university application process. Audiences can follow along live at home on our website, YouTube or social media, and ask questions in the chat for real-time answers from our online panel and special guests.
Recent Live Lounge guests have included broadcaster and naturalist Chris Packham CBE, former Poet Laureate Dame Carol Ann Duffy, and reality TV star and musician Wes Nelson. The 2021 Lincoln Live Lounge season kicked off with teachers turned football managers Danny and Nicky Cowley offering a three-part masterclass in leadership, teamwork, and performance analysis with academic specialists from Lincoln’s sports science and business subject areas.
The Lincoln Live Lounge usually takes place each Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, and also forms a central part of the University’s regular Virtual Open Days and Offer Holder Days, where prospective students and their families can interact directly with University staff and students on topics such as accommodation, the admissions process, and student support. If you miss any Live Lounge talks, you can catch up later through our Lincoln on Demand platform or head further down this page to watch previous sessions.
