10th April 2002
An open day next week for prospective university students will showcase some of the degree courses offered in Hull at the University of Lincoln.
Students planning to enrol on courses including Child Studies, Social Work, Computing and Media Technology will get the chance to look round the Cottingham Road campus on Wednesday 17th April.
Those who begin courses at Cottingham Road in September 2002 will move to the Hull city centre campus in the summer of 2003 when the Cottingham Road campus transfers to the University of Hull.
“Our open days are a great way for students locally and further afield to find about the great educational opportunities which we continue to offer at our campuses in Hull,” commented education liaison manager Jacqueline Mayer.
The open day begins at 11.30am with registration in the Kingston Suite followed by a welcome talk in the Newington Lecture Theatre.
Visitors will also be able to take campus tours, view on-campus accommodation and browse subject stands for advice on specific courses from 11.30am until 3.30pm.
Subject talks will take place between 1pm and 2pm while demonstrations and advice on Learning Support and media provision will be given in the university’s TV studio between 2.15pm and 3.15pm.
A printable copy of the timetable for the day is available on the university’s web site
or contact Jacqueline Mayer on 01522 886046.
