Social Sciences are about people; how we develop as individuals, and come together as a society. The College of Social Science at the University of Lincoln is home to six schools that look at how subjects such as Education, Health and Social Care, Law, Psychology, Social and Political Sciences, and Sport and Exercise Science apply to individuals and society as a whole.
At the College of Social Science we aim to provide learning opportunities that develop our students’ curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. We have a strong commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and build our curriculums around developing skills and knowledge for the future, not just the present.
We embrace technology-enhanced teaching, providing a rich digital culture for learning and are continuing to invest in our innovative facilities. We offer contemporary and relevant programmes that aim to prepare our students for a rapidly changing world, as well as promoting employability and entrepreneurship as a key part of our student experience.
The College is also home to a number of active research groups allowing students to benefit from the expertise of academics who are leaders in their fields. We want to ensure that Social Sciences at Lincoln can make a significant contribution to positive change within local, national and international communities in response to emerging global challenges.
