What are News Feeds?
News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and video in one place, as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.
Feeds are also known as RSS, (Really Simple Syndication).
The University of Lincoln Press Office currently provides the following news feeds:
To subscribe to a news feed you will need a feed reader. You can use a stand-alone programme if you prefer, though most modern browsers already cater for RSS.
Depending on your web browser you should see a 'subscribe' button or link when viewing the news feed, usually near the top of the page.
Alternatively you can drag the orange rss icon into your feed reader or browser bar; copying and pasting the link directly has the same effect.
