Applications to Lincoln soar
University of Lincoln Numbers of students wanting to study at Lincoln have soared by more than 25 per cent.

The University of Lincoln has received a major increase in the number of applications for this September.  The record number, from the UK and abroad, is the highest in the University’s history.

Nationally, the number of applications to Higher Education institutions in the UK has increased by 3.5 %, compared to the same point last year, according to data published by UCAS.

Elly Sample, Director of Communications, Development and Marketing at the University of Lincoln, said: “Lincoln has bucked the trend. With an increase in applications seven times the national average, these figures are a testament to our standing as one of the country’s most exciting and innovative universities.

“The University of Lincoln has achieved a meteoric ascent of the league tables due to our continuing investment into the student experience, reflected in our high levels of student satisfaction.

“We boast a wonderful campus in a beautiful safe, historic city and we will be delighted to welcome the next cohort of high achievers to our academic community in September.”

Interest in the University of Lincoln’s courses was strong across the board with substantial increases in Engineering, Law, Nursing, Computer Science, History and Psychology.
