Find Your Feet with more than 60 top graduate recruiters on campus
Find Your Feet Thousands of students and graduates will go face-to-face with big name employers when the University of Lincoln's annual 'Find Your Feet' careers, postgraduate and employability fair takes place next week.

The Find Your Feet event will be held at the Engine Shed on the University's main Brayford Pool campus on 15th November 2012, from 10am-3pm.

The event, which attracts thousands of current students and alumni, alongside some of the UK's biggest graduate employers, is the showpiece of the University's annual Enterprise and Employability Week, which runs from 12th November to 16th November.

Mark Stow, Careers and Employability Services Manager at the University of Lincoln, said: "The national jobs market is certainly tough but graduates are still much in demand. As ever, it is those people who really understand what employers are looking for who will stand out from the crowd. It's never too early for students to start thinking about life after graduation.
"It might be getting hands-on work experience or a student placement, or ensuring their CV is written in a way that they jump off the page. The best way to learn these tips of the trade is from the employers themselves.
"Our Find Your Feet event brings some of the country's biggest graduate recruiters to our doorstep and is the perfect stage for current undergraduates and recent alumni to talk face-to-face with these employers."

More than 60 graduate recruiters are scheduled to attend the Find Your Feet fair and a range of presentations are scheduled throughout the day. Confirmed exhibitors include Wilkinson, Morrisons, Siemens, Cummins, Branston, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Channel 4, The Civil Service, Matalan, FDM Group, and Rolls Royce among others.

As well as containing a wealth of information on careers and postgraduate study opportunities, Find Your Feet also offers advice on gap year options, summer placements and internships, and starting a graduate enterprise.

Throughout Enterprise and Employability week, there will be a variety of useful workshops for student and graduate jobseekers, including CV clinics tailored to different subject areas, so graduates can fine tune their applications to meet the specific needs of their chosen sectors.

There will be sessions on embracing social media to source career opportunities online and an event to celebrate and promote volunteering opportunities.

In addition, the Careers and Employability Team will be running pre-fair preparation sessions for students and graduates to be ready to make the most of the main event.

Mark Stow added: "It is important for students attending that they do their research and prepare for what they would like to ask the employers. This could be that all important chance to make a good first impression."
