Editor and spin doctor to probe relationship between PR and the media
Michelle Lalor and Matt Hammerton Grimsby Telegraph editor Michelle Lalor and Managing Director of Lava PR Matt Hammerton will debate the changing relationship between journalists and public relations professionals at the University of Lincoln on Monday 22 November.

The event features in this term's prestigious series of lectures and debates entitled "Journalists Speak Out On Journalism", organised by the Lincoln School of Journalism, and is open to the public.

Media heavyweights who have appeared in the series recently include John Pilger, Angela Rippon, Head of Channel 4 News Dorothy Byrne, acclaimed war correspondent Alan Little, American radical Michael Albert, Director of BBC North Peter Salmon and undercover reporter Tessa Mayes.

"The Press & PR: a working relationship?" begins at 6.15pm in the Cargill Lecture Theatre on the University's Brayford campus. All are welcome and there is no need to book for this free event.

Professor Richard Lance Keeble, organiser of the debate, commented: "Every year we in the Journalism School combine with our public relations colleagues to host a debate on some major contemporary issue.

"With attention increasingly placed on the massive role of PR in the formation of news, and with two important speakers, this should prove a fascinating debate."
