The Courteeners on road to Engine Shed
Courteeners frontman Liam Fray Lincoln's Engine Shed will be opening its doors to exciting Manchester band The Courteeners.

The group have announced they will play at the venue on the University of Lincoln's Brayford Campus on Friday 5 March 2010. The gig is part of a UK tour to mark the release of the band's second album in February 2010.

The Courteeners, whose debut album St Jude was a hit with audiences and critics, have just completed the recording of their new album. A taster from it, Cross My Heart And Hope To Fly, will be available as a free download on 7 December from the band's website, www.thecourteeners.com.

Victoria Simpson, Events and Programme Manager at the Engine Shed, said: "The Courteeners made a significant impact on the UK indie scene when they released their debut album back in 2008 and their return to the charts will be something to watch. The Engine Shed is consistently attracting the UK's best live artists to the city of Lincoln and this is a live show not to be missed."
