Lincoln students have designs on top Milan show
Lincoln students have designs on top Milan show Design students from the University of Lincoln have been invited to showcase their work at the prestigious Milan Furniture Fair.

The group from the University’s BA Product Design programme will fly out to Italy in April to exhibit their creations at the SaloneSatellite 09 event.

The SaloneSatellite is the part of the Milan Furniture Fair where students from around the world display their finest work to leading figures in the industry.

In 2007, the University of Lincoln’s design programme was one of only two in the UK to be selected to exhibit at the event and staff and students are delighted that they have been given the opportunity to present their work again this year.

Dave Bramston, Subject Leader in Product Design at the University of Lincoln, said: “The collection includes lights and furniture, some of which is being fabricated locally by specialist companies, whilst other pieces are being produced in China and are due to arrive back at the University in early April.

“The students have travelled to New York, Shanghai and Tokyo during research for the collection and have had the opportunity to speak with many of the world's leading designers.”

The collection will leave the University of Lincoln on 15 April and will be on show from 22 April.
