Six of the best come to Lincoln

The University of Lincoln is welcoming six of the most illustrious names from the creative industries to talk at a two-day design seminar.

Following on from the success of last year’s event, the University is holding another Six of the Best design seminar on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 November.

Special focus will be given to graphic design, art direction, corporate identity and special effects.

The six sought-after speakers at the event are Martin Lambie-Nairn (Creative Director of Lambie-Nairn), Richard Eyre (Chairman of Capital Radio), Adrian Burton (Lambie-Nairn), Kate McConnell (Director of Asylum), Tony Davidson (Creative Director of Weiden and Kennedy advertising agency) and Dave Ellis (Creative Director of graphics company Why Not).

Chair of the event is Patrick Bourgoyne, Editor of Creative Review. Paul Middleton, Senior Academic in Design and Martin Lambie-Nairn are joint organisers of the event.

Paul Middleton said: “Six of the Best at Lincoln is a conference that showcases the best design talent in the UK. Although last year’s event is a hard act to follow, this year’s is just as promising with very prestigious speakers attending.

“Schools, colleges and universities from across the UK are invited to attend this major event. It provides a great forum for professionals, tutors and students to connect with world-class speakers and be inspired.”

The event will take place in the University of Lincoln’s EMMTEC Building, Brayford Pool Campus, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 5.00pm on both days.

Anyone interested in the creative design industry is welcome to attend. Tickets cost £10 for industry or £5 for University of Lincoln students. Tickets must be pre-booked by calling 01522 837171.
