Cheryl will be among many students attending the graduation ceremony taking place at The Guildhall in Hull on Friday 26th January.

Cheryl was working full time and studying for an MSc in Human Resource Management when she fell pregnant during the second year of the three year course.

Baby Ellie was born during Cheryl’s third year whilst she was studying for her dissertation.

Cheryl said: “Working full-time whilst studying for the MSc one day a week was hard enough but having a baby at the same time was even more of a challenge.

“Having a Masters has definitely helped with my career; the company I work for had a reorganisation and I was promoted to Recruitment Manager. Having not done the course I would have certainly been out of my depth. I feel I can bring what I learnt in the classroom to the workplace.”

The graduation ceremony will take place at 2.30pm. Journalists and photographers are welcome to attend.
