Craft items made from ceramics, fibres, glass, metal, stone and wood will form an exhibition of work by degree students at the University of Lincoln next month.

Eleven final-year Contemporary Decorative Crafts students will be staging their exhibition ‘Tick in the Box’ at the Sam Scorer Gallery on Drury Lane in Lincoln from 10th until 19th May.

“The work on display will demonstrate our abilities as contemporary designer makers of high-quality craftwork,” said student Denise Durant.

“These works will showcase our originality, distinctiveness, technical ability and aesthetic judgement.

“Through our chosen materials we are able to express our individual design identity and the exhibition will feature cutting-edge works which reflect the current vogue in the contemporary craft market.”

The exhibition will be open to the public between 10am and 6pm every day but will be closed on Monday 15th May.

Admission is free. For more information or photos email Denise Durant: denideni53@yahoo.co.uk
