IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO APPLY TO UNIVERSITY

If you thought you’d left it too late to apply for a place at university this September, think again – there‘s still time to snap up the last few vacancies.

The University of Lincoln in Hull will be holding two Clearing open days in August for the benefit of those still hoping to gain a place.

On Friday 20th August and Tuesday 24th August the university will open the doors to its facilities at George Street and Queens Gardens 10am and 3pm to those who would like to find out more about the courses on offer.

Child Studies, Interactive Multimedia, Web Design, TV & Film Design and Social Work are just some of the courses available.

Throughout the day staff will be available from each department to discuss the options still available and how to apply for those places.

Experience staff will provide information on the various student support facilities such as funding, careers, disabilities and accommodation.  Visitors will also receive campus tours, including accommodation.

“It is important that would-be students realise that there is still time for them to apply for the last few places available,” said Jacqueline Mayer, education liaison manager. “The offer of a place is, of course, subject to qualifications and experience, but there is a possibility that some students may be able to sign up for a place on the day.”

The Clearing system is intended for students who are late making their decisions or who have not received their expected exam results.

From 19th August 2004, when A-level results are released, you can call the university’s Clearing hotline on Lincoln 886622.
