BEST PRACTICE FOR STUDENT HOUSING

The annual landlords’ forum which aims to accredit student housing in Lincoln is to be held at the University of Lincoln next week.

Following the success of last year’s event, authorities and landlords will come together to discuss issues on student accommodation.

Around 100 landlords are expected to attend the event, ‘Code of Practice Landlords’, where they will be given the opportunity to discuss new initiatives.

The university is at the centre of a partnership including City of Lincoln Council, Lincolnshire Fire Brigade, Lincolnshire Police, Bishop Grosseteste College and landlords in the city.

“We aim to update our landlord group on the work completed last year when the accreditation for student housing was introduced,” said Michael Ball, Residential Services Manager at the university.

“Ultimately we are working towards best practice in student accommodation for landlords, students and local residents.”

The invitation event will take place at 6.30pm on 10th December in the Jackson Lecture Theatre at the Brayford Pool campus.
