Parents of first year ‘A’ level or National Diploma students are being invited along to an information evening at the University of Lincoln next week.

Organised by Connexions Lincolnshire and Rutland, the event gives parents the opportunity to find out more about applying for university, student finance and how to complete a successful application form.

There will be three parent-focused talks during the evening, UCAS Applications, Student Finance and Student Life - from a parent’s perspective.  Attendance at the talks is free but tickets must be reserved by ringing the Connexions number below.

“This is a ideal opportunity for parents to find out more about what can appear to be quite a daunting prospect of sending their children to university,” said Jacqueline Mayer, education liaison manager at the university.

“There will be plenty of parental advice and information available on the many aspects of applying for university.”

The event takes place in the university’s main academic building at the Brayford Pool campus next Thursday 26th June between 7.00 pm and 9.15pm.

Literature from Connexions and various universities nationwide will be available.
