STUDENTS TO HELP RAISE PROFILE OF GUILDHALL

Budding designers at the University of Lincoln are being asked to design a new leaflet for Lincoln’s Civic and Twinning Office.

The Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Gary Hewson, has invited students to come up with a design for a leaflet to raise the profile of the Guildhall and attract more visitors to the building.

The winner will receive a Morrison’s hamper and will see his or her design used in a leaflet to be produced and distributed by City of Lincoln Council.

“The Mayor is very keen to develop relationships between the city and the student body, and he’s looking forward to judging the students’ leaflet designs,” said Kate Fenn, civic and twinning officer at City of Lincoln Council.

The competition is likely to appeal particularly to Advertising, Communications and Public Relations students at the Brayford Pool campus and to Graphic Design students in the Lincoln School of Art & Design.

Students have been asked to register their interest with the council by Tuesday 22nd April 2003 and the closing date for entries is Friday 9th May 2003.
