Equine students from the University of Lincoln are preparing for a busy time at the Lincolnshire Horse Trials this weekend (22nd and 23rd March).
Fourteen National Diploma and degree students from the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture will be working as fence judges and stewards in the show jump arena at the Lincolnshire Showground.
The horse trials have taken place at the showground for many years and attract junior and senior competitors from around the world.
“It is a great experience for the students and gives them an ideal opportunity to see the top competition riders in action,” said Sharon Kirby, practical equine instructor at the school.
“I approached the organiser to offer our assistance with the event but was really delighted when so many students volunteered.
“We are also really pleased to be sponsoring a water jump this year.”
