    COUNTRYSIDE AND ANIMAL LOVERS UNITE

The Lincolnshire School of Agriculture’s Riseholme Park will be teeming with eager countryside and animal lovers this Saturday during their further education open day.

Over 100 visitors from across Lincolnshire will attend the event which has been arranged especially for school leavers who wish to continue their education at 16 but follow a more vocational route.

Courses on offer include Agriculture, Animal Care, Horse Management, Countryside Management, Forestry and Horticulture at First and National Diploma level.

The morning’s programme, which runs from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm, will include a brief presentation, a guided tour of the park and facilities and individual interviews with course tutors.

“For a 16-year-old, attending an open day may be a daunting prospect so we try to make it as informal as possible,” said Gill Noakes, event organiser.  “The aim of the open day is to allow the students to take a good look at the facilities and have a chat to the tutor about their chosen course.”
