ART AND DESIGN STUDENTS TO SHOW AND TELL

Students from Lincoln School of Art and Design will open the doors on their end-of-year shows later this year.

The events at various venues throughout the city are an opportunity for young artists in the final year of their courses to exhibit the results of up to three years of study.

End-of-year shows are an opportunity for students to discover more about the processes involved in organising, managing and hosting an exhibition and promoting their own work.

Paul Middleton, head of the Lincoln School of Art and Design, commented: “These events are a vital showcase for student work, enabling their talents and inspirations to be seen by family and friends as well as business representatives and potential employers.

“The exhibitions are a celebration and culmination of years of hard work and dedication by students and staff. We hope people will come and see the quality of work in all the areas of art and design by further education and higher education students.”

The events, many of which have attracted commercial support and sponsorship, are open to  the public throughout May and June.

Dates and venues for each show (which may include private view dates) are detailed on page two of this press release.

Further details are available from the Promotion and Recruitment Centre, Lincoln School of Art and Design, on 01522 895050.
