Campus radio station Siren FM will holding a live roadshow in the city centre this Saturday (15th September) to encourage shoppers to get involved with live games and competitions.

The ‘Siren Live’ roadshow will take place in the Cornhill from 11am to 4pm to give a flavour of what the station has to offer. The team from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will be doing live interviews and giving away Debenhams prizes in various competitions throughout the day.

The station which launches on Monday 17th September will broadcast 24 hours a day from its base on campus to the city of Lincoln and beyond for three weeks until 9th October on 87.9 FM.

Guests of honour at the launch will include Councillor Pat McGinlay and town crier Terry Stubbings.

“We want to get the community more involved with the station,” said station manager Emma Carrick. “It’s so popular with the students that we think it’ll be a big hit amongst the city’s listeners.

“The roadshow will be great fun and should brighten up everyone’s shopping trip.”

The station is supported by Debenhams, Oddbins on St Marks Retail Park, The Galley Café Grill and the Library Bar.

Any companies and organisations wanting to reach an audience of 3,500 students plus the city’s listeners should contact the station on 01522 886001.
