A new course for law graduates and local practitioners interested in updating their legal qualifications is to be launched at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside in September.

LLM European Law, the widely recognised postgraduate qualification, provides a route for continuing legal education for law graduates.

Candidates study a Postgraduate Certificate in European Law & Policy and then a Postgraduate Diploma in European Law. These can lead to a Master of Laws in European Law.

The programme can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis by taking individual units to update expertise in specific areas.

“We are responding to the growing market for professional short courses,” said Edmund Fitzpatrick, Head of Law at the university.

The university is accredited by the Law Society as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) short course provider.
