Have you always yearned to see your name in lights? Do you feel as if there’s a film star inside you just bursting to get out?

If so, you may be about to get your first big break - as an extra in a new Hollywood movie.

The film company which will be in Lincoln next week shooting scenes for Gwyneth Paltrow’s new film are on the look-out for extras to take part in the movie Possession.

Possession Films Limited are looking for up to 70 ‘students’ and around a dozen ‘lecturers’ to act as extras when filming takes place next week at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

If you’re neither a student nor a lecturer, don’t worry - the production team are still interested in talking to you if you think you look the part.

“We’re looking for a mix of ages and backgrounds for both the students and the lecturers,” commented Nic Shearer of Possession Films. “If you think you look right and can be at the university on 30th August, 31st August or 1st September then by all means give me a call.”

Extras will be paid £50 a day and will be asked to wear their own clothes - nothing too colourful and no football shirts or any other garment carrying a prominent commercial logo.

And Nic promises that all extras will get to be on set at the same time as Oscar-winner Gwyneth Paltrow. “Gwyneth will be in all the scenes which we are shooting in  Lincoln, but obviously we can’t promise that the extras will be able to get too close to her!” he said.

If you would like to be involved in Possession please do not telephone the university. Instead contact Nic Shearer direct on 07957 395820. And hurry - he needs to hear from you by Wednesday 23rd August at the latest.
