University staff have been doing their bit for the environment by returning old telephone directories to Kingston Communications for recycling.


Thousands of old phone books were transported to Telephone House yesterday by voice communications staff from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.


This is the third year the university has collected the directories which will be shredded and used for animal bedding or compost.


They were met by Residential Marketing Manager for Kingston Communications Lisa Richardson who overseas the recycling effort.


The project forms part of the university’s environmental strategy
