A charitable trust which has given financial support to an extensive law library at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside is making a final donation of £15,000.

The Whitton Trust is winding up its work and is making the donation as part of the final distribution of funds.

In total the trust, which targets educational projects, has contributed £45,000 to the Law Department since 1993 on top of a donation made towards the creation of the university’s Lincoln campus.

“We are delighted to receive this donation which will be used to further update the library resources in the area of European Law,” said Edmund Fitzpatrick, head of Law at the university.

Over the years the donations have contributed to the extensive resources which include CD-ROMs, encyclopaedia, a full range of statutory and reference material including electronic law reports.

Networked onto the department’s PCs is information on European Law - the subject of a new postgraduate degree starting next September.
