STUDENTS FACE PROS IN PLAYSTATION CHALLENGE

Playstation whizzkids at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will pit their skills against the experts next Tuesday (21st March) at a computer game showdown in the Students’ Union.

Twelve students and four professional Playstation testers from Tarantula Studios will battle it out on Thrasher and Tekken 3 to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Tust.

Prizes on offer to the winner include £250 worth of Playstation games and exclusive Lara Croft gear from Top Shop.

DJ Tin-Tin from Detox Records will provide the atmosphere for the evening, which begins at 7pm for 7.30pm in the ULH Students’ Union on Cottingham Road.

“It’s going to be a brilliant night,” said organiser Verity Coyle. “We’re charging 50p on the door and aiming to raise at least £300 for the trust.”

The students and the professionals will compete in groups of four, with their games relayed to the audience on the Students’ Union big screen.

Those who turn up on the night will also get the chance to try their hand at the games.
