Staff and students at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will be getting into the Christmas spirit next week at an event organised by the university chaplain.


Along with the traditional sherry and mince pies the lunchtime party will also feature readings and musical items performed by pupils from Hull Grammar School.


Among the musical attractions will be the traditional Swedish carol ‘Now light one thousand Christmas lights’, the Old Basque Noel ‘Gabriel’s Message’, the traditional Polish ‘Midnight Carol’, a violin solo rendition of ‘Souvenir de Sarasate’ from William H Potstock’s ‘Fantasia Espagnole’, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ and ‘Angel’s Carol’ by John Rutter.


The event takes place at 1pm on Tuesday 14th December in room 103 of Wilberforce House on the university’s Cottingham Road campus.
