The University of Lincolnshire & Humberside is expecting at least 600 visitors to its open day tomorrow (Wednesday).

Potential students and their parents from all over the country will tour the Lincoln campus with student ambassadors and have the chance to learn more about individual subjects from lecturers.

The Learning Support and Media Production Centre is very popular with visitors who can visit the two state-of-the-art television studios and the radio and multi-track studios.

UCAS applications to the university were up 14% in December, mainly owing to massive interest in media-based courses.

A university spokesperson said: “We are delighted to see the interest generated by the new media facilities, which are among best in the country. We also hope to attract local people to find out more about the growing programme of degree courses which is right on their doorstep.”

Visitors are welcome to turn up on the day - the doors open at 10am and the open day ends at 2.30pm.
