Senior staff from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside have been to Minnesota in the United States to further relations with St Cloud University.

Professor Peter Arnold (Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Technology), Phil Cosker (Director of External Relations in the Faculty of Arts and Technology) and Malcolm Golightley (Director of External Relations in the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences) spent five days in Minnesota discussing link-ups with St Cloud and two other universities - Mankato State and Moorhead State University.

“We were met with the usual American hospitality and enthusiasm and were extremely impressed by the facilities that we saw,” commented Mr Golightley.

“The main purpose of our visit was to sign an agreement on collaboration, which will include student exchange, staff exchange and research in areas such as social work, applied social science, criminology and media.

“We look forward to developing our relations with St Cloud University in the future,” Mr Golightley added.

The University of Lincolnshire & Humberside expects a visit from St Cloud’s academics over Easter, and a further trip to Minnesota is likely in May.
