Hullís History Celebrated With New Course
Hullís heritage will be explored in a series of evening classes at the city centre campus which will form part of the Hull 700 celebrations.
The Hull School of Architecture will host the ten-week course which will delve into the architectural history of the city, at the Saville Theatre, George Street.
Well known local historian Chris Ketchell, who has a weekly column in the Hull Daily Mail, will give classes on a diverse range of local history topics spanning the 700 years of the cityís existence.
The course will begin on 7th April with the history of local developments and over the next 10 weeks will discuss everything from famous people who have hailed from the city to buildings and industry.
Places will cost £3 for each session or £25 for the whole course, which will be held from 6.30pm at the universityís Saville Theatre on George Street in Hull.
