Congratulations on securing your place to study with us at the University of Lincoln. This page aims to provide all of the key information that you will need to formally enrol.
Before you arrive, there are a few important tasks for you to complete to help ensure your first week goes as smoothly as possible, leaving you more time to concentrate on settling in, making new friends, and getting to know your course.

Step 1 Check and Amend Your Personal Details
First of all, you need to go to the Runway homepage, found at https://runway.lincoln.ac.uk in order to start the login process. Our Getting Started Guide provides information on how to log into Runway. As well as updating your personal details, you will need to upload some Verification ID (this should be photo ID i.e. your passport or driving licence).
Step 2 Upload a Photo for Your Student ID Card
You are also required to upload a photo to the Getting Started section of Runway so that we can produce your Student ID card (This should not be your passport or driving license).
After completing these steps you will be able to access the Getting Started generic and programme level resources. Programme level resources are in a Getting Started School site. Your password will be the same one you have used to access your Runway homepage when you checked your personal details.
Step 3: Document Checks
Prior to your start date, you will receive a link from our Student Visa Compliance team. This will list any documents / further steps that are required in order to continue with the Enrolment process, which may include:
It is important that you follow all of these steps to complete your enrolment. If you are sponsored on a Student visa, the University of Lincoln must comply with the Home Office and report your visa if you fail to enrol. If you are unexpectedly delayed, you should inform the Student Visa Compliance Team by email at email@example.com as soon as possible so that we can help support you.
Step 4: Tuition Fees
You will also be required to pay at least 50% of your tuition fees prior to Enrolment.

Please ensure that you copy the URL into the address bar of the browser window exactly as specified and that the ‘lock’ icon on the left of the address bar is being displayed which confirms a secure connection.
Once on the link, you will need to select the type of student you are, scroll down to the preferred payment method.
To pay via BACS, please select Flywire.
To pay via card please follow the below steps:
Scroll down to “by instalments” and select tuition fee payment service.
Step 1 – Personal details
Step 2 – Select tuition fees, enter the total amount of your tuition fees and select pay now
Step 3 – Enter card details
You will be required to complete all of the above steps in order to fully complete the Enrolment process.
You will have access to IT facilities the day after you have formally enrolled.
Enrolment is the formal process through which you officially join the University. When you enrol, you confirm your agreement to become a student at Lincoln, to abide by University regulations and to become liable for fee payments, as well as agree to having your personal details checked. All students must enrol at the beginning of each year of study.
EU Students – We may contact you prior to enrolment, to request a copy of your passport and your current immigration status.
The information you provided when updating your personal details, will be processed by the University of Lincoln for purpose(s) related to your studies and other services in accordance with relevant Data Protection legislation including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We have a statutory obligation to share some information we hold about you with the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and other bodies. Your personal data may be shared with the appropriate regulatory body for your course and your name may be included on published results lists and others. Your name and term time address may be shared with the relevant local council to verify qualification for council tax exemption. In the event of non-payment of fees, your personal data may be used for credit assessment, tracing, collection and the prevention of fraud. After you graduate, we retain some of your information to verify results and supply replacement certificates and transcripts. Your details may be used to invite you to join the University’s Alumni Network. Unless you choose to opt out, your data will be shared with the University of Lincoln Students’ Union.
