• To be eligible for the St Marks Accommodation Bursary for Home Postgraduate Taught Students you must be a new full-time Home fee status postgraduate taught student enrolling at the University of Lincoln for the 2021/22 academic year (including those starting in February 2022).

  • The bursary is not means tested. If you meet the eligibility criteria, it will be applied automatically as credit against your accommodation rental costs at St Marks in the 2021/22 academic year.

  • Once you have accepted your offer of a place on an eligible postgraduate programme, you must apply for and accept an offer a room on a 51-week tenancy in St Marks by midnight on Sunday 31 October 2021 via the University of Lincoln accommodation application portal.

  • The University will reply to your application within 5 working days. Your offer of a room in St Marks will clearly state the gross annual rent, the bursary contribution and the net rent payable by you.

  • The bursary award is equivalent to 50% (£3,508.80) of the annual rental cost of £7,017.60 for a 51-week tenancy for an en-suite room at St Marks. It will be credited automatically with each instalment of your rent you pay (pro-rata).

  • Bursary recipients will be allocated dedicated apartment buildings at St Marks exclusive to postgraduate students.

  • In the unlikely event that the dedicated taught postgraduate student accommodation in St Marks is oversubscribed, the £3,508.80 bursary credit will be applied to the rent for alternative University of Lincoln-managed accommodation.

  • The bursary is only paid as accommodation credit in the way described in these Terms and Conditions. It is non-transferable and no cash equivalent is available.
