Journalism at Lincoln

Our fully accredited BA Journalism and associated programmes offer students a multimedia grounding with chances to specialise in specific media and genres, such as sports or arts journalism. Research carried out by our academics is internationally recognised, with particular specialisms in media history, women and the press, and peace journalism.

Our facilities reflect those used in the industry; seven newsrooms equipped with news feeds, print production and design software, as well as digital radio and television studios.

Placement opportunities are facilitated by the School’s relationships with mainstream broadcasters including the BBC and ITV, and regional newspapers. The University’s campus-based media, offering more opportunities for student journalism, include community radio station Siren FM, the student station Brayford Radio, the School’s web TV news service LSJNews and the Journalism students’ own newspaper, The Linc.
