Research in the School of English and Journalism

Journalism staff at Lincoln are pursuing innovative and problem-driven interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary societal issues in a globalised world, including in the fields of peace and conflict journalism, diaspora journalism in Britain and globally, neglected voices of gendered and ethnic minorities and groups in the history of newspaper publishing, and journalism education and work-related trauma in journalism.

Journalism Research Projects

English and Creative Writing staff at Lincoln are currently undertaking research that spans the medieval to the contemporary, and are also highly productive in many forms of creative writing. There are particular strengths in twenty-first century writing, nineteenth-century studies, the Gothic, women's writing, and American literature, as well as in creative fiction, poetry, the graphic novel, and playwriting.
