Personal Tutors

Personal Tutors

Students within the School of Social and Political Sciences will each join a small personal tutor group. These groups are led by a designated member of our academic team and will act as your personal tutor during your full period of study at Lincoln. In your first year, personal tutors will liaise with their students regularly as a group and individually.

Your personal tutor aims to:

  • Help you settle into student life and help develop your awareness of the diverse demands of higher education
  • Help you to understand the academic context and rigour of higher education, to enable you to assess your academic development throughout your studies
  • Tutor your learning group to help grasp basic study skills and group study skills
  • Provide a regular point of contact for queries about your academic progress.
