Our Work Based Distance Learning (WBDL) programmes are generally Level 6 ‘top-up’ programmes, meaning everyone who joins has APL/APEL (Accreditation of Prior Learning and/or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) applied for Level 4 and Level 5, allowing direct entry onto Level 6.
Where an applicant isn’t eligible for APEL onto the Level 6 programmes, we also offer two Foundation Year programmes (FdSc), which you can find below:

Entry Requirements
To quality for entry onto our WBDL programmes, you must be able to demonstrate a strong drive to succeed, significant work experience, and have relevant academic qualifications. For more information, please check the programme webpages.
Intakes and Deadlines
Intakes for this programme are February, May, and October. Key dates are below:

How Do I Apply?
Applications are taken directly via the programme webpage, rather than through UCAS. You will find an ‘Apply Now’ button available on each page.
You will have to upload evidence of your eligibility. Documents we usually request are:
- Personal statement of approx. 1-2 pages
- CV
- Name and email address of your professional referee
- Photographic ID
- Academic documents
For Military applicants, you may also need to upload: - JPA showing your seniority date
- Military ID
