As one of the UK’s leading modern universities, students from more than 100 countries apply to the University of Lincoln each year for degree level studies.

To help you prepare, the following information provides guidance on the entrance requirements you will need to meet, alongside further information in support of your application.

Entry Requirements

 Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of an undergraduate degree:

  • Diploma of Completed Specialised Secondary Education or completion of the first year at a university in Kazakhstan
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (min 24-27 points) depending on the course
  • Recognised foundation programme in the UK. For admission to the International Year 1 foundation programme at the University of Lincoln you will need to hold a Diploma of Completed Vocational Education.

 

Advanced Entry (Undergraduate)

Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course.

Postgraduate Taught (e.g. MA/MSc)

  • A Bakalavr, a Diplom ob okanchanii vysshego uchebnogo zavedeniya, a Magister or a Specialist Diploma. If your qualification GPA system is out of 5.0 then we normally require grades of between 3.0 and 4.0
  • You may be considered for our Pre-Master's programme if you do not meet the above entry requirements.

Postgraduate Research (e.g. MPhil/PhD)

Postgraduate Research opportunities at the University of Lincoln range from MRes and MA by Research to MPhil / PhD.  For further information on entry requirements please visit the individual subject pages.

  • IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score) or equivalent. Please note that some courses require a higher score
