Meet our Student and Alumni Community

Studying in the UK is more than just gaining a degree, it is an opportunity to learn from new experiences, develop self confidence and initiative and to make fantastic memories that we hope will last a lifetime. Find out more about what it is like to live and study at the University of Lincoln by reading some of our student and Alumni stories below.

"The University of Lincoln offered me opportunities in personal development and academic mentoring and I have been inspired many times by great speakers at university events. I also built diverse global connections on a professional and personal level.

"The facilities at the University help a lot while working on various projects and I highly enjoyed attending graduation at one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. You will fall in love in the city, with so much history and artistic detailed buildings."

Ali S A Al-Saeed, Iraq, who completed a BSc Computer Science and MSc International Business at Lincoln and then embarked on a MSc International Tourism Management with Professional Practice programme with us.

"Studying in Lincoln was the greatest experience I have ever had. The knowledge gained from my degree, as well as voluntary experience I did at Lincoln, allowed me to land a dream job in HR once I have returned to Kuwait.

Besides my educational experience at Lincoln, I had the chance meet great friends, and some of them have become my best friends. I have to say that the University and the city suited me very well in all aspects."

Khaled Kayal, MSc Management graduate, Kuwait, Recruitment Officer at Alshaya Group

"People in the UK are very friendly and polite. The education system is so advanced which attracts students from all over the world to study so I got the chance to meet people from different cultures and countries. Here travelling is so easy and comfortable and many brands are available, so shopping is fun too.  There are so many beautiful places to visit in Lincoln, like the castle and cathedral.  Living here is less costly compared to other big cities in UK too.

On my course, there were special meetings where students could give feedback for future improvements. The module leaders were very supportive and friendly. We also had small class get-togethers arranged by the teachers where students could eat, play games and have fun.

My favourite part of University of Lincoln is its library. All of my course-related books, journals, articles were available. If I had any difficulty in writing reports or in finding data, it was possible to book appointments with a subject-related librarian."

Sana Mazhar, Pakistan, MSc Management graduate

Ali, from Iraq, talks about his love for Lincoln and why he decided to study three consecutive degrees with us.
