Flexible Admissions for 2021 Undergraduate Applicants

Note - the following information applies to full-time Home undergraduate applicants for 2021/22 entry.

As we move forward into 2021, the changing situation with the Coronavirus pandemic continues to offer new challenges. We appreciate the difficulties this is presenting for students at this time especially those applying to University and we want to reassure you that the University of Lincoln is working to ensure that no student is disadvantaged in their application to us by issues caused by the pandemic, or by recent changes in national policy around summer examinations and assessments.

At Lincoln, our Admissions Team consider all the information contained in your application when we make you an offer. We put students at the heart of all we do and in response to the challenges students are facing, we have introduced a flexible admissions process; a safety net wrapped round your offer this year. This means we will consider your best work to ensure we are being fair and to take account of the impact the pandemic has had on your learning and outcomes.

Therefore when confirming your place at the University of Lincoln we will take a flexible approach across the majority of our programmes*. All the students we make offers to are those who we feel would be an asset to our community and we want to reduce concerns among them and their families about the impact of the pandemic on their futures.

When we receive confirmation of your results, we will consider both your actual and predicted grades alongside your personal statement and reference. We will guarantee your place if you meet either of the following criteria:

  • Your confirmed grades are no more than 16 UCAS tariff points below the conditions of your offer**.
  • Your predicted grades are no more than 16 UCAS tariff points below the conditions of your offer**.

Alternatively if you do not meet either of the above criteria we will consider you for our Certificate of Higher Education, Arts Foundation Year or Science Foundation Year programmes.

We are the Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 and we pride ourselves on putting students at the heart of all we do. This flexibility for applicants reflects our supportive approach to our students. We are here to help you succeed.
