At the heart of student life is the University’s Great Central Warehouse Library which provides access to more than 260,000 journals and 750,000 print and electronic books, as well as databases and specialist collections.
The library is open 24/7 for the majority of the academic year and expert staff are on hand to help you navigate resources and support you with academic writing, statistical analysis, and referencing. The library also provides a wide range of practical support for students’ learning development, offering drop-ins, workshops, and individual appointments.
The Library is committed to ensuring that all students and staff can make the best use of their services.
Library staff are happy to collect any books, and there is also the option to reserve items and collect from the reservations area.
The University provides a variety of assistive software which is available on Library computers and laptops, and there are also adjustable height tables with computer access and low level short-stay computers.
Choosing what you want to study and where you want to study is an exciting and important step in realising your ambitions. The best way to find out what it is really like to live and learn at Lincoln is to join us for one of our Open Days. Visiting us in person is important and will help you to get a real feel for what it might be like to study here. Many of our students say they knew Lincoln was for them as soon as they set foot on campus.
