Tuition fee payments

Students enrolling/re-enrolling at the University of Lincoln for academic year 25/26 onwards will automatically be set up with a tuition fee payment plan. Please refer to our payment plan terms below for full details.

Students will receive a notification email shortly after enrolment with their payment schedule.

Alternatively, tuition fees can be paid in full within 21 days of enrolment.

Pay by Instalments

Tuition Fee Payment Terms

The number of instalments available to you will depend on the nature and cost of your course. All instalment plans must be consecutive and will commence from the month of enrolment.

The following guidelines apply:

  • For standard courses with fees exceeding £5,000 — a maximum of nine monthly instalments is available.
  • For postgraduate students in receipt of a Postgraduate Loan, we have a three-instalment payment plan available with the payments being taken in line with your Postgraduate Loan payments.
  • For non-standard courses priced below £5,000 — up to six monthly instalments may be offered.

ELCAS-funded students who are required to pay a personal contribution

  • Personal contribution above £1,000 may be offered up to six instalments
  • Personal contribution below £1,000 may be offered up to three instalments

These terms are subject to the conditions of your CAN. Please note that failure to pay your payment plan in full may result in the loss of your sponsorship, and you will be liable for the full fee.

  • For short courses with fees of £1,000 or less — full payment is required within 21 days of enrolment. Instalment plans are not available for these courses.

Important Information

Failure to make payments on time, or to adhere to your agreed instalment plan, will result in sanctions being applied to your student account. This may include:

  • Suspension of access to Blackboard and other online learning resources.
  • Delays in receiving your certificate, re-enrolling on your course, or graduating — until all outstanding fees have been paid in full.
Update Your Debit/Credit Card Details

For Tuition or Accommodation:

  • Updating a debit/credit card that has expired/changed
  • Updating a debit/credit card to a different card
