Who is it for?

The University of Lincoln’s South Asia Scholarship is designed to help students from across India, Nepal and Sri
Lanka to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The South Asia Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2026/27 academic year.

Scholarship Amount

The South Asia Scholarship is valued at £3,000 - £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the South Asia Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be a national of (or have permanent residence in) one of the following countries at the time of applying to the University in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship: India, Nepal and Sri Lanka

A £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  1. Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or
  2. Completed a Pre-Master's degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master's degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

A £3,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  1. Completed a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution, and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or
  2. Completed a Pre-Master's degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master's degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

N.B. For students who are a national of (or have permanent residence in) Pakistan, and have completed a 2 year Bachelor's degree followed by a 2-3 year Master's degree, this scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the combined average grade across both qualifications.
