Additional Information

  • To be eligible for the Accommodation Bursary for Home and International Postgraduate Taught Students you must be a new full-time Home or International fee status postgraduate taught student enrolling at the University of Lincoln in January or February 2022.

  • The bursary is not means tested. If you meet the eligibility criteria, it will be applied automatically as credit against your accommodation rental costs for the academic year.

  • Once you have accepted your offer of a place on an eligible postgraduate programme, you must apply for and accept an offer for a room on a 51-week tenancy, at one of the participating accommodations, by midnight on Friday 4 February 2022 via the University of Lincoln accommodation application portal. You will be required to make a £49 down payment in order to secure the room.

  • The University will aim to reply to your application within 5 working days. Your offer of a room will clearly state the gross annual rent, the bursary contribution, and the net rent payable by you.

  • The bursary award is equivalent to 50% of the annual rental cost for a 51-week tenancy. It will be credited automatically with each instalment of your rent you pay (pro-rata).

  • Where possible, bursary recipients will be allocated dedicated apartments exclusive to postgraduate students.

  • In the unlikely event that the dedicated taught postgraduate student accommodations are oversubscribed, the bursary credit will be applied to the rent for alternative University of Lincoln-managed accommodation.

  • The bursary is only paid as accommodation credit in the way described in these Terms and Conditions. It is non-transferable and no cash equivalent is available.
