The defence and security industries are ever-evolving to adapt, accelerate, and advance the UK's progress in technology, logistics, and education. As an anchor institution to a region possessing a rich military heritage, the University of Lincoln seeks to engage further with our defence and security community by sharing knowledge, developing skills, and encouraging innovation through collaborative research.
We intend to build on our existing sector-wide partnerships to continue our trajectory in providing evidence-based, sustainable, and forward-thinking solutions for our partners engaged in all forms of defence and security activity.
The University of Lincoln offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education opportunities designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and expertise relevant to the defence and security sector. From preparing graduates for careers in the field to supporting experienced professionals in developing their capabilities, our courses span disciplines that respond to the sector’s evolving needs and priorities.

The Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Secuity Cluster (GL RDSC) is one of three formally recognised Clusters in the UK. It began as a network and industry-led forum founded by the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, its Defence and Security Advisory Board, and the University of Lincoln. Bringing together national and international defence organisations, manufacturing, research, development and innovation expertise, the Cluster provides a single forum to overcome sector challenges and identify business opportunities in Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland, while identifying opportunities for funding and innovation-led initiatives.
