Courses are designed to meet the needs of individuals and organisations seeking targeted learning that can be applied directly within the workplace. Depending on the programme, participants may gain accreditation from relevant Professional Bodies or receive an accredited certification awarded by the University. Courses with University credits attached can be stacked to achieve full qualifications.

Build a strong foundation in project management with our flexible APM Project Fundamentals short course. Ideal for those new to projects or looking to formalise their knowledge, attendees will have the opportunity to achieve the globally recognised APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) while gaining confidence in core project management principles.
Develop the skills and confidence to lead effectively with our Leadership and Management short courses. Whether you are taking your first step into leadership or looking to enhance your management practice, our Level 4 and Level 5 programmes provide practical, workplace-focused learning to support your professional growth and career development.
This short course is the first step in developing your capabilities as a leader and manager. Through realistic workplace simulations, you build core leadership foundations before progressing to more complex application at Level 5.
You explore your own experience alongside organisational behaviour concepts, developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and understanding of transactional and transformational leadership. Activities include identifying leadership roles, reflecting on best practice, and testing styles in simulated environments.
On successful completion, the course awards 30 credits at Level 4.

This course is the next stage in developing your leadership and management capability, building on Level 4 study. Through a series of progressive workplace simulations, you will apply advanced skills and attributes to increasingly complex leadership challenges.
Drawing on real-world experience and organisational behaviour theory, you will critically evaluate how leaders and managers operate in practice. The module deepens your ability to analyse organisational dynamics, refine your leadership approach, and make more informed decisions in challenging contexts. You will strengthen self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and understanding of transactional and transformational leadership through applied learning.
On successful completion, the course awards 30 credits at Level 5.
