Find Out More About Your Subject
If you have received an offer of a place to study at the University of Lincoln, we will invite you to attend a day where you can learn more about your chosen programme and the University. It is a chance to meet your tutors and other people who will be studying with you and to ask questions of current students.
You will be provided with a bespoke programme for the day, which centres on activities relevant to your course. There will also be plenty of opportunities to talk to academic staff and students from your chosen course during the day. Student Ambassadors will be available across the campus during the Offer Holder Day to help you and to answer any questions you might have.
Choosing where to live while studying is a big decision. At the University of Lincoln, our Accommodation Office can help all first-year students to find a great place to live. We recommend viewing our on-campus accommodation during your visit, as well as taking the time to visit some of our University-approved accommodation providers within walking distance of the campus. This will help you to apply for accommodation when applications open for this in March.
The University of Lincoln’s award-winning city centre campus provides a modern student-centred environment, where everything you need is either on campus or a short walk away. The campus is found in the heart of the city on the Brayford waterfront. Across the marina, there is a wide range of eating, drinking and entertainment venues available.
The winning combination of a vibrant city centre and a historic cathedral quarter, both with a broad range of cultural activities and venues, make Lincoln a fantastic environment to live and study in. Lincoln Cathedral overlooks the city and is one of the finest medieval buildings in Europe. We believe the 15-minute walk up the famous Steep Hill (named as one of Britain’s prettiest streets by The Telegraph in 2016) is well worth the climb.
Our Friends for Life initiative encourages you to connect with other applicants with similar interests before you arrive.
