Sport at Lincoln
The University of Lincoln has specialist facilities for those wanting to pursue sports academically or in their leisure time. From studying a sports-related discipline to joining an organised club or making the most of what is available on campus, you can find a sporting activity that you have a passion for, and have fun with like-minded people.
Sports Club and Societies Lincoln Students’ Union currently has more than 130 sports clubs and societies for students to join. Each year thousands of students get involved, gaining valuable experience in problem solving and organisational skills by becoming part of a sports committee. Students can compete in inter-university British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) tournaments in a wide range of sports, including lacrosse, football, rowing and hockey.
Sports Scholarships If you are a talented sportsman or woman you could benefit from a University of Lincoln Sports Scholarship to help you further your sporting achievements alongside your academic study. Application for the scholarship is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, with up to 10 students receiving £1,000 each year.
No matter what your sport, you will find a team to join at the University of Lincoln’s Student Union. If it doesn’t exist you can create it.
In 2017 our teams came out victorious in the fourth annual Humber Games against rivals University of Hull. The 2019 Humber Games takes place on Saturday 23rd March.
