Get Started

Teaching and Learning

Our aim is to provide an on-campus learning experience with teaching delivered through a mixture of face-to-face and online sessions. We will be utilising a range of different digital tools for teaching including our dedicated online managed learning environment.

We are working to provide an online and socially distanced delivery during this COVID-19 pandemic that is engaging and allows students to interact with their tutors and each other and contribute to our academic community. As and when restrictions start to lift, we aim to deliver an increasing amount of face-to-face teaching and external engagements, depending on each course.

Please refer to the course pages on our website for specific information about your programme.

Students' Union Activites

We know that as well as learning, university life is about meeting new people, making friends, and having fun. We are working with our Students’ Union to ensure the Lincoln experience remains fun, fulfilling, and safe when students come back to campus, including a mix of physical and virtual events.

This includes online evening events for students who might be looking to meet new people, guided tours of the campus and the city of Lincoln, and virtual sports and societies taster sessions throughout the first few weeks, which will give students a chance to meet new people and find a new hobby. You can also look forward to exploring a Virtual Freshers Fayre and discovering local shops and companies, and exclusive student freebies, discounts, and offers.

We have become aware that some organisations outside of the Students’ Union and University are promoting ‘Freshers’ events and we strongly advise students not to purchase tickets for any large scale events that are being promoted across Lincoln, as under current government restrictions, these events will not be able to take place.
